Israel, Gaza and Genesis 12:3: Political Agenda or Bible Truth?

Cynthia Cummings-Walker, Lifeandbibleblog.com

Many Christians have been taught, and believed, for years that in Genesis 12:3 God was speaking to the nation of Israel. Not true. The nation of Israel was not in existence then. There were approximately 290 years between God giving this promise to Abram (renamed Abraham), to when God changed his grandson’s name from Jacob, to Israel.

God Was Speaking to Abram

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3 NIV

God chose Abram in Genesis 12:3 wherein He changed Abram’s name to Abraham. Within the Abrahamic Covenant, found in Genesis 17:5-8. God promised protection and blessing to the descendants of Jacob who would inherit the promised land.

The latter part of the verse “…all the people of the world will be blessed through you.”, is referring to Jesus Christ, the coming Messiah. Jews believe that Jesus was a blasphemer and imposter and they crucified Him. Israel awaits their Messiah. Question: “How can two walk together unless they agree?” (Amos 3:3)

Regardless of what the Bible teaches, those who use Genesis 12:3 to justify and support the State of Israel ‘s crimes is a blatant false doctrine. A person who disagrees with Israel’s actions does not prove that they are anti-semetic. It means that they are actually Bible believers.

God Disciplined His Chosen People

God never allowed His chosen people, the Jews, to do whatever they wanted to do in violation of the Law He gave them. All the Israelites, except Joshua and Caleb died in the wilderness. The Israelites were taken into captivity by the Babylonians. They were enslaved by the Egyptians. They lost many battles because they refused to obey God.

Because God did not support, defend, or permit rampant evil by His chosen people, the Jews, then why is America funding and supporting the genocide in Gaza, and other war crimes that are in violation of Scripture, and international law?

Why is the United States Backing Israel?

Since God did not give His chosen people a license to kill, steal and destroy, why is America funding and supporting it? Not just America, this activity is championed by so-called “Christian” pastors, leaders, teachers and biblically illiterate Christians.

This appears to be more political than biblical. God would not condone Israel’s military actions. This is not a war between Israel and the Palestinians. War is when two militaries are engaging in combat. There is no military in Gaza.

There is a lot of money flowing from the Jewish community who want Israel to take over the entire West Bank. Many Jewish legislators have duel citizenship (Israeli and American) who wield power in legislative and political positions. The Vote.

AIPAC is pouring multi millions of dollars into the pockets of political figures and legislators who are both Democrats and Republicans, Jews and Gentiles, as quid pro quo, to vote Israel’s interests.

I’m not certain as to what Zionist pastors and Christian ministry leaders receive for their services. It may be money, favors, recognition or something else.

Nonetheless, because of these gateways, Israel’s interests will always supersede those of hard working, taxpaying citizens of the United States. The emerging paradigm in America is Israel First.

This is why the United States gives Israel billions of dollars a year to fight unjust wars. Perhaps some of the money is going towards the free healthcare and education Israeli’s have. This is to the detriment of American citizens who go without adequate healthcare, housing, food, and education because of “budgetary restraints” we are told. Israel first. America last.

In conclusion

I believe that this current situation concerning Israel is all based on political decisions and false doctrine. It has nothing to do with Bible prophecy.

Your thoughts and comments are welcome.

May the Lord richly bless you as you seek His wisdom and guidance in a world of gaslighting and false doctrine being perpetuated.

A Powerful Delusion: When Politics Masquerades as Christianity

Cynthia Cummings-Walker, Lifeandbibleblog.com

A delusion is having a strong belief in something that is completely false, without any facts to support their viewpoint.

The “Christianity” that is being publicly riled about by people in high places, have exchanged the truth of God‘s word for a political system. This system will supposedly make America a great Christian nation.

Many so-called Christian leaders, pastors, politicians, and people embrace this tyranny, greed, hatred, corruption, injustice, immorality, racism, and Christian nationalism is the “Way.”

Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6.) What the cult Republicans claim is the way for a better life is the very antithesis of what Scripture teaches.

In this case, because so much evil is being advanced under the guise of Christianity, God has sent a powerful delusion so evildoers will double down on their lies and deceit. This delusion is to trust and believe that a person, or political party has the power to do what only God can do.

Worship the Lord Your God Only

In Matthew 4:10 “Jesus said, …”Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.” To worship a president through unfettered loyalty, praying around a statue of him, not condemning his quest to have his name and likeness on money, buildings and NFL football commercial, where the president proclaims his greatness, while the song in the background says “love me…love me…love me”. This is idolatry and blasphemy.

Furthermore, at a Republican midterm political rally, the president asked attendees to raise their right hand and swear fidelity to him… To lie, cheat and steal to win the upcoming elections. He told the attendees if they did not obey him, “they were going to go to hell.”

No one can serve two masters. Choose you this day, whom you will serve, the Lord God, or the president of the United States of America. As evil, masqueraded as Christianity continues, evildoers will go deeper into darkness and delusion.

There is a Solution for Delusion

2 Chronicles 7:14 reads: “If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Maintain a intimate relationship with God through bible reading, study and prayer. Ask the Lord to help you build relationships with people who love God and people; who can encourage you in the truth of God’s Word.

A biblical Christian can be identified by their works and words. Otherwise, a person who rejects the truth of God’s Word to live a life, based on conservative politics that masquerades as Christianity, is delusional.

In Conclusion

Can you answer the self-reflective question: Am I delusional? If you are not, praise God. If you are, you now know how to return to reality with the help of the Lord.
